25-25-25 - All to the KKL Luzern! And the the winner is…

The anniversary gift "25-25-25 - everyone to the KKL Luzern!" from the KKL Luzern to the people of Central Switzerland was very well received. In the new format, the concert hall will be rented out for the first time in 2025 for a symbolic 25 francs to mark the 25th anniversary. 17 concepts were submitted by committed creative artists and cultural institutions. The concepts have now been scrutinised and the winning project selected.

The jury & decision

A seven-member jury consisting of Andrea Gmür (Member of the Council of States), Simone Keller (musician), Noëlle Grüebler (musician), Nicole Bühler (member of the KKL Family Association), Valentin Gloor (Head of HSLU Music), Rolf Sommer (director and musical performer) and Thomas Krähenbühl (member of the KKL Family Board) scrutinised the submissions in two rounds of judging. The dossiers were evaluated on the basis of creativity, originality in terms of content, financing and feasibility, and the attraction of new groups of guests to the KKL Luzern.

All the applications were convincing in their own way. The large number of applications from the fields of dance, music, crossover and digital media has shown that there is great interest in the project. One concept was particularly convincing in this collection across all evaluation criteria. The jury voted unanimously in favour of the Schüpfheim Music Society's project.

"Volksmusik - ächt Äntlibuech"

Under the title "Volksmusik - ächt Äntlibuech", the organiser is bringing short concerts and an evening gala to the KKL Luzern. Bright-eyed children in the afternoon and enchanted, joyful faces in the evening, after the gala concert with brass band music, natural yodelling and alphorn sounds. This magical, musical day should remain an unforgettable memory for the audience and the musicians. Around 200 artists characterise this project and attract a broad, diverse audience to the KKL Luzern.

The jury considered the project to be very valuable, target-orientated and innovative in terms of all three assessment criteria. The content of the programme, with a variety of short concerts for different audiences, was just as convincing as the intention to bring together creative artists from the entire canton of Lucerne and to bring the KKLcLucerne venue closer to the outstanding cultural landscape of the Entlebuch.

The project "Volksmusik - ächt Äntlibuech" will be performed as part of the project "25-25-25 - alle ins KKL Luzern!" on 14 April 2025 in the concert hall of the KKL Luzern. The KKL Family provides organisational and communication support for the project and builds bridges between the project management of the KKL Lucerne and the project organisation of the Schüpfheim Music Society. After the first edition in 2025, the format will be realised annually with a different winning project.
